Data deletion

Email contact@optimpos.com from the address you registered with, using the subject “Delete account” and stating the business name. To protect your information, we only act on requests sent from that address or that we can verify another way.

We will delete the account, its users, and the business's operational data, including its customers' data and WhatsApp history, and disconnect its WhatsApp channel.

Export any reports you want to keep before asking: deletion cannot be undone.

If you received WhatsApp notifications from a business that uses OptimPOS, that business recorded your data. You can ask the business to delete it or contact us directly.

Email contact@optimpos.com with the subject “Delete my data”, your phone number with country code and, if you know it, the business name. We will delete your contact details, notification history, and WhatsApp replies, and you will stop receiving messages through OptimPOS.

If you only want to stop receiving messages without deleting your appointment history, say so in the email and we will withdraw your notification consent.

• We confirm receipt of your request within 5 business days.
• We complete the deletion within 15 business days, the claims deadline under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.
• Data held in backups disappears as those backups rotate, within 30 days at most.

Only what the law requires us to keep, such as subscription billing records for accounting and tax obligations, for as long as the law requires. That information is not used for any other purpose.

Messages already delivered remain on the recipient's phone and in WhatsApp under Meta's policies: OptimPOS cannot remove them from devices.

To deliver notifications, Meta and WhatsApp process your number and the message content as independent providers. You can exercise your rights with them from WhatsApp's privacy settings or under WhatsApp's privacy policy.
